UCC's after-school and summer literacy program incorporates individualized research-based curriculum in small group guided reading, daily message, read-alouds, learning centers, and technology settings that emphasize Science of Reading's instruction of:

• Phonemic Awareness

• Phonics

• Fluency

• Vocabulary Comprehension 

 

The program is offered year-round to students in FWISD and its surrounding area. It is also the host of several supplementary programs.

•    58% of students reading at or above grade level (compared to 45% at state average)
•    13-year history of personalized assessments with Literacy Specialists
