| The
Tillie Cross Society: |
The Tillie Cross
Society is a special giving designation for all
who make estate gifts to the United Community
Centers. Mrs. Cross was a devoted volunteer whose
personal contribution to United Community Centers
continues as a living legacy. Gifts to the permanent
fund of United Community Centers Foundation become
part of the living legacy that will give forever. |

| A
Bequest to UCCF - A Gift That Will Last Forever: |
A bequest to
United Community Centers Foundation is a gift
that will live forever. Gifts become part of the
permanent endowment that will provide annual earnings
to support the vital programs of the centers.
We are grateful for all who have included United
Community Centers Foundation in their will by
making a choice to create a lasting legacy of
caring that will live forever.
There are two legal methods that create a legacy
gift through your will:
1. Have your will written by
a qualified attorney to include all of your wishes,
including a gift to United Community Centers Foundation.
2. Write a codicil that makes
a change or addition to your current will that
includes a gift to United Community Centers Foundation.
You may choose to create a codicil
because rewriting your will in its entirety can
be time consuming and costly. The codicil is a
simple, easy document that is helpful for simple
changes such as an addition of a gift to UCCF.
If many changes are going to be made to your will,
it is advised that a new will be written rather
than writing a codicil.
As a legal document, a codicil
must adhere to the guidelines for a regular will.
An attorney can write a codicil for you, and some
people prefer to write their own. In either case,
a codicil original should be attached to your
original will and copies of your codicil should
be attached to any copies of your will. It is
advisable to have your signature for your codicil
witnessed just as your signature on your will
was witnessed.
We hope you will join the Tillie Cross Society
and be part of this lasting endeavor.
